| Description: | Tutor training is required to be a literacy tutor and will be provided at the beginning of the semester. Flexible hours are available. The tutors will help an individual age 16 or older inprove their reading, writing, math , or English skills, or prepare students for the GED exam. Tutors work in a one-on-one setting, emphasizing personal attention and self-esteem building. Volunteers do not need any teaching experience, but only a desire to make a difference in their learner's life. |
